Vale da Capucha
Vale da Capucha Fóssil White 2022
Pickup currently not available
Vale da Capucha Fóssil White 2022 is a Portuguese white wine from Torres Vedras, in the Lisbon region, made by Pedro Marques from Fernão Pires and Arinto grown organically on fossil-rich limestone. It is a textured, mineral white with real Atlantic freshness, a bottle that makes a simple fish dinner feel special.
Tasting notes
Golden in colour, with orchard fruit, a full, rounded body and lively acidity. The name comes from the marine fossils found in the estate's Kimmeridgian clay and limestone, the same family of soils as Chablis. The wine ferments with native yeasts and spends a long time on its lees before bottling.
Food pairing
Think grilled sardines, octopus salad, arroz de marisco, or a board of Portuguese cheeses such as Azeitão.
