Vale da Capucha
Vale da Capucha Clima White 2020
Pickup currently not available
Vale da Capucha Clima White 2020 is a Portuguese white wine from the Lisboa region, made by Pedro Marques in Torres Vedras from organic vineyards on limestone, about 10 km from the Atlantic. A white with a few years of age, from one of the most talked-about small estates near Lisbon.
Tasting notes
Vale da Capucha whites are known for tension, salinity and a chalky mineral line, the mark of Kimmeridgian limestone and sea air. With a few years in bottle, expect citrus to move towards riper, more complex notes while the acidity keeps it lively.
Food pairing
Pour it with grilled sea bass, oysters, açorda de marisco, roast chicken with lemon or a soft goat cheese.
About Vale da Capucha
The Marques family grew grapes for four generations before Pedro Marques started bottling the estate's wines. He replanted the vineyard with Portuguese grapes and farms it organically on Kimmeridgian limestone and clay.
