Quinta do Olival da Murta
Serra Oca Palhete
Pickup currently not available
Serra Oca Palhete is a Portuguese palhete from Óbidos, in the Lisbon wine region, made by Quinta do Olival da Murta. Palhete sits between a light red and a deep rosé, and it is exactly the bottle you want for a long, relaxed lunch.
Tasting notes
A palhete is traditionally made by fermenting red and white grapes together, which gives a pale red colour, soft tannins and lots of freshness. Expect juicy red fruit, a light body and a crisp finish. It is happiest served slightly cool.
Food pairing
Pour it with grilled chicken, chouriço, tuna steak, mushroom dishes or a board of charcuterie. It is also a great partner for pizza and summer salads.
