Herdade do Rocim
Rocim Vale da Mata Pet Nat Sparkling Rosé
Pickup currently not available
Rocim Vale da Mata Pet Nat is a natural sparkling rosé from the Lisbon wine region, made by Herdade do Rocim winemakers Catarina Vieira and Pedro Ribeiro from a small family vineyard in Cortes, between the Serra de Aire e Candeeiros and the Atlantic. It is light, salmon-pink and easy to love, the bottle to open when the sun comes out.
Tasting notes
Fine bubbles, a fresh and mineral nose and a light palate with refreshing acidity. It is made by the ancestral method, with no added yeast or sugar: the wine is bottled before fermentation ends and finishes in the bottle, building its own gentle fizz. The first release was mostly Tinta Roriz with a little Vital and Arinto, fermented in cement tanks.
Food pairing
Try it with shrimp and prawns, a salmon poke bowl, presunto and melon, or a tomato and burrata salad.
