Ribeiro Santo Red 2023

Ribeiro Santo Red 2023 is a Portuguese red wine from the Dão, made by Carlos Lucas at Quinta do Ribeiro Santo from Alfrocheiro, Tinta Roriz and Touriga Nacional. It is an easy, honest everyday Dão red, the kind of bottle you open on a Tuesday and finish without noticing.

Tasting notes

The classic Dão trio gives red and dark berry fruit, a floral lift from Touriga Nacional and the freshness the region is known for. At 13%, it is medium bodied and easy to drink, with soft tannins.

Food pairing

Great with bitoque, grilled pork secretos, a pasta with tomato and sausage, or a plate of Serra da Estrela cheese and presunto.

About Carlos Lucas

Quinta do Ribeiro Santo takes its name from a stream that keeps flowing even in dry years. The Lucas family bought the estate in 1994, replanted it on poor granite soils facing the Serra da Estrela, and Magnum Carlos Lucas Vinhos now makes its wines there, in Carregal do Sal.
