Quinta do Perdigão
Quinta do Perdigão Red 2017
Pickup currently not available
Quinta do Perdigão Red 2017 is a Portuguese red wine from the Dão, a classic blend of Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro and Jaen from Quinta do Perdigão in Silgueiros. These three grapes are the backbone of traditional Dão reds, and with several years in bottle this 2017 is ready to enjoy. A great-value way to taste the Dão's elegant style.
Tasting notes
Touriga Nacional typically brings violets and dark berries, Alfrocheiro ripe red fruit and colour, and Jaen a soft, spicy, red-fruited side. The Dão's granite soils and cool nights keep its reds fresh and fine-grained. With age, expect the fruit to mingle with spice, forest floor and softer tannins.
Food pairing
Try it with roast kid, beef stew, duck rice, wild mushrooms, or a slice of Serra da Estrela cheese.
