Quinta da Raza
Quinta da Raza Pet Nat Sparkling White
Pickup currently not available
Quinta da Raza Pet Nat is a natural sparkling white wine from the Basto sub-region of Vinho Verde in northern Portugal, made from the local Trajadura grape. Pet nat, short for pétillant naturel, finishes its first fermentation in the bottle, so you get a gentle, lively fizz with nothing added: a fun bottle for sunny afternoons and picnics.
Tasting notes
Hazy and opaline in the glass, from the natural sediment left in the bottle. Wild yeast and orchard fruit on the nose, apple and pear, then a refreshing, lively palate with fine bubbles and a crisp finish. Fermented with indigenous yeasts and very little sulphur.
Food pairing
Open it with petiscos: pastéis de bacalhau, fried peixinhos da horta, grilled sardines, a fresh goat cheese, or a simple salad of tomatoes and oregano.
