Duvas de Arruda
Pombo Bravo Reserva White
Pickup currently not available
Pombo Bravo Reserva White is a Portuguese white wine made from Síria, a native grape grown across central and southern Portugal. It is a great everyday white with a little more depth than most, the kind you open on a Tuesday and finish with friends.
Tasting notes
Síria is known for its aromatic, fresh style: citrus, white flowers, a hint of stone fruit and a clean, lightly mineral finish. A Reserva usually spends a little more time on the lees or in the cellar, which adds texture without hiding the fruit.
Food pairing
Try it with grilled sea bream, octopus salad, clams with garlic and coriander, or a fresh goat's cheese with honey.
About Síria
Síria goes by several names in Portugal: Roupeiro in the Alentejo, Códega in the Douro. It does well in hot, dry places while keeping its perfume, which is why so many Portuguese producers trust it for their whites.
