Pombo Bravo Clarete

Pombo Bravo Clarete is a Portuguese clarete, a pale, light-bodied red wine made to be drunk young and slightly cool. It is the red for people who usually reach for rosé, and a crowd-pleaser on any table.

Tasting notes

Clarete is an old Portuguese style, lighter in colour and body than a classic red. Expect fresh red fruit such as raspberry and cherry, soft tannins and a juicy, easy finish. A short spell in the fridge brings out its freshness.

Food pairing

Serve it with bifanas, grilled chicken, chouriço, tuna salad or a mixed board of petiscos. It is also a good match for pizza and pasta.

About clarete

For centuries, clarete was the everyday red of Portuguese taverns. Many producers have brought it back, because its light body and freshness suit the way people like to drink today.
