Nua e Crua Malvasia White
Pickup currently not available
Nua e Crua is a Portuguese white wine from the Dão made from Malvasia. The name means "naked and raw", a hint that this is a white with little make-up, made to show the grape and the place.
Tasting notes
The Dão sits on granite between mountain ranges, with hot days and cool nights, and its whites are known for freshness and a mineral edge. Malvasia, in the Dão often Malvasia Fina, tends to bring delicate floral and stone fruit aromas, a touch of honey and a soft, textured palate.
Food pairing
Pour it with grilled fish, bacalhau com natas, a goat cheese salad, or a vegetable pie.
About the Dão
The Dão is one of Portugal's oldest wine regions, around the city of Viseu. Its whites, from grapes like Encruzado and Malvasia, are among the most ageworthy in the country.
