Motsi Banana Bread

Motsi Banana Bread is a banana loaf from Motsi, a baker whose cakes we stock at our shop in Graça, Lisbon. A slice for breakfast, an afternoon coffee or a lazy Sunday brunch.

Flavour and texture

A good banana bread is moist and tender, with a deep, caramel sweetness that comes from ripe bananas and a golden, slightly crisp crust. It is the kind of cake that is even better the next day.

Food pairing

Serve a thick slice with a galão or an espresso, or toast it lightly and add salted Azorean butter. For a dessert, pair it with a tawny Port or a glass of Madeira.
