Luís Pato Baga Touriga Nacional Red

Luís Pato Baga Touriga Nacional is a Portuguese red wine from the Beira Atlântico region around Bairrada, a blend of Baga and Touriga Nacional by Luís Pato. It is an honest, juicy everyday red from one of the great names of Bairrada.

Tasting notes

The 2024 blends 60% Baga and 40% Touriga Nacional, fermented in stainless steel with no oak, at 12% alcohol. The Norwegian Vinmonopolet describes forest berries, spice and minerals, then a juicy, medium-bodied palate with firm tannins, morello cherry, blackcurrant and black olive.

Food pairing

Serve it with leitão, grilled pork, a lamb stew, chanfana, or a firm cheese.

About Luís Pato

Luís Pato is one of the best-known winemakers of Bairrada and has long championed Baga, the region's demanding red grape. His family estate is in Óis do Bairro, and his daughter Filipa Pato also makes wine in Bairrada.
