Lemos Figueiredo
Lemos Figueiredo Ginja de Alcobaça 10 cl
Pickup currently not available
Lemos Figueiredo Ginja de Alcobaça 10 cl is a Portuguese sour cherry liqueur from Alcobaça, the abbey town of the Oeste region north of Lisbon. Ginja, or ginjinha, is the little red drink that Lisbon locals knock back at kiosks in Rossio. This small bottle is a souvenir that fits in any bag.
Tasting notes
Ginja is made by steeping ginja sour cherries in alcohol with sugar. Expect a deep ruby colour, ripe and sour cherry, a touch of almond from the stones and a sweet, warming finish.
Food pairing
Sip it after lunch, poured into a small chocolate cup, or with dark chocolate, a pastel de nata or vanilla ice cream.
