Kompassus
Kompassus Reserva Red
Pickup currently not available
Kompassus Reserva Red is a Portuguese red wine from Bairrada, a selected Reserva from Kompassus in the coastal centre of Portugal. It has more depth and structure than the Colheita, a bottle to open with a slow Sunday roast or a dinner with friends.
Tasting notes
In Portugal, Reserva means a selected wine of higher quality, often with more time in barrel or bottle. Bairrada reds, shaped by Baga and the Atlantic climate, are known for fresh acidity, red and dark fruit and firm tannins that soften with age. Expect cherry, plum, spice and a long, savoury finish.
Food pairing
Pair it with leitão à Bairrada, roast kid, duck rice, or a mature Serra da Estrela cheese.
About Kompassus
Kompassus is a Bairrada wine house, in the coastal centre of Portugal between Coimbra and Aveiro. Bairrada's clay-limestone soils and Atlantic climate give wines with natural freshness, and the region is famous for Baga reds and for sparkling wine.
