Guyot Funky Orange Wine

Funky Laranja is a Portuguese orange wine from Guyot, a white wine fermented on its skins like a red. If you like natural wines with a bit of attitude, this is a fun bottle to open with friends and talk about.

Tasting notes

Skin contact gives orange wines their amber colour, aromas of dried citrus peel, apricot, tea and herbs, and a light tannic grip that you rarely get from a white. The name says it all: expect something lively and a little wild rather than polished.

Food pairing

Orange wine loves bold flavours: try it with chouriço assado, spiced chicken piri piri, Indian dishes, or a strong cured cheese.

About Guyot

Guyot is a small Portuguese label behind the Funky wines, which also include a pet nat. Funky Laranja is its orange wine, laranja being Portuguese for orange.
