Flor da Selva Timor-Leste Coffee 250 g is a Portuguese coffee from Lisbon, roasted over firewood by Flor da Selva from coffee grown in Timor-Leste. A strong, earthy coffee for people who like their espresso dense and intense.

Tasting notes

Coffee is the main export of Timor-Leste, and the island gave its name to the Timor Hybrid, a natural cross between arabica and robusta found there in the last century. Timorese coffee is typically heavy bodied and earthy, with notes of cocoa, spice and wood, and low acidity. It makes a dense, intense bica.

Food pairing

Serve it with a pastel de nata, a broa de mel or a square of dark chocolate. It also has the strength to shine with milk in a galão.

About Flor da Selva

Flor da Selva is a small family coffee roaster in the Madragoa quarter of Lisbon, founded in 1950 by Manuel Monteiro. It is one of the last roasters in the city that still roasts over firewood, the way it did from the start. The Monteiro family still runs it, and the bags keep the look of Portuguese coffee packaging from the 1950s. No additives, just coffee.
