Flor da Selva
Flor da Selva Timor-Leste Coffee 1 kg
Flor da Selva Timor-Leste Coffee 1 kg is a Portuguese coffee from Lisbon, roasted over firewood by Flor da Selva from coffee grown in Timor-Leste, here in a 1 kg bag. The big bag is for those who love a strong, earthy espresso and drink it every day.
Tasting notes
Coffee is the main export of Timor-Leste, and the island gave its name to the Timor Hybrid, a natural cross between arabica and robusta found there in the last century. Timorese coffee is typically heavy bodied and earthy, with notes of cocoa, spice and wood, and low acidity. It makes a dense, intense bica.
Food pairing
Serve it with a pastel de nata, a broa de mel or a square of dark chocolate. It also has the strength to shine with milk in a galão.
About Flor da Selva
Flor da Selva is a family coffee roaster in Madragoa, Lisbon, founded in 1950. It still roasts its coffee over firewood, one of the very few in the city to do so, and keeps its 1950s style packaging. Buying the 1 kg bag means you never run out of your favourite origin.
