Flor da Selva Ethiopia Sidamo Coffee 1 kg is a Portuguese coffee from Lisbon, roasted over firewood by Flor da Selva from coffee grown in the Sidamo highlands of southern Ethiopia, here in a 1 kg bag. The big bag is for those who have fallen for Sidamo and want it every morning.

Tasting notes

Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee, and Sidamo is one of its best known growing regions. Sidamo coffees are typically floral and lively, with notes of citrus, bergamot, red berries and a light, tea-like body. Try it as a filter or a long espresso to let the aromas open.

Food pairing

Pair it with lighter sweets: a bolo de arroz, almond tarts from the Algarve or a slice of lemon cake. It is also lovely next to a piece of dark chocolate.

Flor da Selva is a family coffee roaster in Madragoa, Lisbon, founded in 1950. It still roasts its coffee over firewood, one of the very few in the city to do so, and keeps its 1950s style packaging. Buying the 1 kg bag means you never run out of your favourite origin.
