Fitapreta Chão dos Eremitas Trincadeira das Pratas White
Trincadeira das Pratas is a single-variety Alentejo white wine from Fitapreta, made from a rare native grape grown in the old Chão dos Eremitas vineyard. Trincadeira das Pratas, also called Tamarez, almost disappeared from Portuguese vineyards. This bottle is a chance to taste a forgotten grape made by one of Portugal’s most curious winemakers.
Tasting notes
Tasting notes describe delicate pineapple, an almost airy freshness, lively acidity, a fine texture and a long finish. It is a white with presence but no heaviness.
Food pairing
Serve it with grilled fish, roasted vegetables, cuttlefish with ink, a seafood cataplana or a semi-cured sheep cheese.
