Coliseu Colheita Tardia Late Harvest 2014
Pickup currently not available
Coliseu Colheita Tardia 2014 is a Portuguese late harvest wine, made from grapes left on the vine well past the normal harvest so that their sugar concentrates. Unlike Port or Moscatel, a colheita tardia is not fortified: its sweetness comes only from the grapes, which gives a lighter, more delicate dessert wine.
Tasting notes
Late harvest wines are known for aromas of honey, apricot, candied citrus and dried fruit, with sweetness balanced by acidity. With a 2014 vintage, this bottle has had time to develop deeper notes of caramel and marmalade.
Food pairing
Serve it with foie gras or a duck pâté, a blue cheese, a lemon or almond tart, or Portuguese egg sweets such as ovos moles and pão de ló.
About Coliseu
