Adegas Beira-Mar
Casal da Azenha White
Pickup currently not available
Casal da Azenha White is a Portuguese white wine from the Lisbon region, made by Adegas Beira-Mar in Azenhas do Mar, the cliff-top village by the sea near Colares. It is a simple, fresh everyday white from one of the oldest wine houses on this stretch of coast, and a bottle that loves seafood.
Tasting notes
Whites from the Atlantic side of the Lisbon region are known for their lightness, bright acidity and a salty, sea-air finish. Expect citrus and green fruit, a crisp palate and no heavy oak.
Food pairing
Drink it with grilled sardines, amêijoas à Bulhão Pato, a salada de polvo, or fried pastéis de bacalhau. It is also a good aperitif with olives and tremoços.
About Adegas Beira-Mar
Adegas Beira-Mar was founded in 1898 in Azenhas do Mar, the cliff-top village near Colares. António Bernardino Paulo da Silva carries on the work of his father and grandfather and is one of the few producers still working with the area's traditional grapes.
