Barona West Coast IPA

Barona West Coast IPA is a Portuguese craft beer from the Alentejo, a bright, bitter West Coast style IPA brewed by Barona in Marvão. It is a beer for those who like their IPA clear, dry and properly hoppy.

Tasting notes

West Coast IPAs, born in California, are clear, light in malt and dry, so the hops take centre stage. The style typically shows grapefruit, pine and resin, a firm bitterness and a crisp, clean finish.

Food pairing

Pour it with spicy dishes, grilled pork from the Alentejo, piri-piri chicken, or a mature sheep cheese.

About Barona

Barona Brewing Company is a family-owned craft brewery from Marvão, in the Alentejo, near the Spanish border. It started in 2015, and its name joins the initials of the three partners' surnames: Barrigas, Roque and Nabo. Its beers have won medals at the Barcelona Beer Challenge.
