Barona Porter

Barona Porter is a Portuguese craft beer from the Alentejo, a dark, roasty porter brewed by Barona in Marvão. It is a comforting dark beer for cooler evenings, smooth enough to enjoy without food.

Tasting notes

Porter is a historic dark English style brewed with roasted malts. It typically shows notes of cocoa, coffee, caramel and toasted bread, with a medium body and a soft, dry finish.

Food pairing

Try it with grilled black pork, a beef stew, roasted chestnuts, chocolate cake, or a slice of aged cheese.

About Barona

Barona Brewing Company is a family-owned craft brewery from Marvão, in the Alentejo, near the Spanish border. It started in 2015, and its name joins the initials of the three partners' surnames: Barrigas, Roque and Nabo. Its beers have won medals at the Barcelona Beer Challenge.
