Barbeito Dry Madeira
Pickup currently not available
Barbeito Dry Madeira (Seco) is a young, dry Portuguese fortified wine from the island of Madeira, made by Barbeito, one of the most respected houses on the island. It is the classic aperitif Madeira, an easy and affordable way to discover the wine of the island.
Tasting notes
Dry Madeira is known for its tangy acidity, light body and notes of citrus peel, dried fruit, toasted nuts and a hint of caramel, finishing clean and savoury. Served cool, it wakes up the appetite.
Food pairing
Pour it before dinner with roasted almonds, olives, presunto, cured fish or a light vegetable soup. It also works in the kitchen, for a sauce or a splash in a mushroom dish.
About Barbeito
Barbeito is a family house founded on Madeira in 1946 and now run by Ricardo de Freitas, grandson of the founder. It is known for its pure style: no caramel is added to colour the wines, so they keep their natural pale colour and freshness.
