Bajancas
Bajancas Reserva Red
Pickup currently not available
Bajancas Reserva Red is a Portuguese red wine from the Douro, made from the classic trio of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz. It is a generous, well built Douro red that suits a Sunday roast or a long dinner with friends.
Tasting notes
Full destemming and long skin contact for the two Tourigas give a complex nose of dark fruit and violets. Tinta Roriz, also called Aragonez, adds body and fine tannins, and careful pump overs give a smooth, persistent texture.
Food pairing
Serve it with grilled beef, posta mirandesa, roast kid, or grilled bacalhau with olive oil and potatoes.
About Bajancas
Bajancas makes red and white wines in the Douro from the region's native grape varieties. The Douro is the world's oldest demarcated wine region, with steep schist terraces along the river that give its reds concentration and structure.
