Arribas Wine Company
Arribas Wine Company Saroto Vinhas Velhas White
Saroto Vinhas Velhas White is an old-vine white wine from Arribas Wine Company in Trás-os-Montes, a blend of many native white grapes such as Verdelho, Malvasia and Bastardo Branco. It is a white with real texture and a short time on skins, made from mountain vineyards at 650 to 700 metres. Fresh, mineral and a little wild, it is a great table white.
Tasting notes
Whole bunches are foot-trodden in a stone lagar, ferment with native yeasts and age on lees in old oak. Tasting notes describe bright fruit, high acidity and a mineral, fresh finish, with a light grip from skin contact.
Food pairing
Pour it with grilled fish, trout with presunto, a vegetable açorda, goat cheese or a simple roast chicken.
About Arribas Wine Company
Arribas Wine Company was founded in 2017 by Ricardo Alves and Frederico Machado in Bemposta, Mogadouro, on the Portuguese side of the international Douro. They revive old, mixed-variety vineyards and make the wines with foot treading and very little intervention.
