Apimel Rosmaninho Honey 250 g
Pickup currently not available
Apimel Rosmaninho Honey 250 g is a Portuguese honey made by bees foraging on rosmaninho, the wild lavender of Portugal's hills. A neat jar to take home, or to bring to the friends who are hosting you.
Flavour and texture
Rosmaninho is the Portuguese name for wild Spanish lavender, which flowers in purple patches across the dry hills of inland Portugal. Rosmaninho honey is typically light amber, with a delicate floral and slightly herbal aroma and a soft, rounded sweetness. It tends to crystallise into a fine, creamy texture over time.
Food pairing
Spread it on toasted bread with butter, stir it into yogurt or tea, or drizzle it over a fresh goat's cheese or a slice of Queijo de Azeitão. With a glass of Moscatel de Setúbal it makes a very Portuguese dessert.
About Apimel
Apimel is a Portuguese honey brand. Portugal has a long beekeeping tradition, and its wild hills of heather, lavender, rosemary, eucalyptus and orange groves give honeys with very different characters from one region to the next.
