António Madeira Vinhas Velhas White
Pickup currently not available
António Madeira Vinhas Velhas White is a Portuguese white wine from the Dão, made from old, mixed-variety vineyards on the granite slopes of the Serra da Estrela. It is one of the most talked-about whites in Portugal today: precise, mineral and built to age. A bottle for people who love great white Burgundy and want to discover what the Dão can do.
Tasting notes
The field blends include Encruzado, Bical, Rabigato, Síria, Arinto, Cerceal Branco and Malvasia Fina, among others. Bunches are pressed whole, fermented with native yeasts and aged on fine lees with very little intervention. Expect ripe citrus, stone fruit and apple, delicate flowers, a chalky texture and a long, saline finish.
Food pairing
Pour it with grilled octopus, sea bream ceviche, scallops, herb-roasted chicken, or a mature goat's cheese.
