Alcagoita Roasted Peanuts 250 g

Alcagoita Roasted Peanuts 250 g is a Portuguese pack of roasted peanuts sold under the Alcagoita name, the old Algarve word for peanut. Put a bowl on the table with cold drinks and watch it disappear, it is the simplest petisco there is.

Flavour and texture

Peanuts are roasted until golden and fragrant. They are crunchy, toasty and rich, with the warm, slightly sweet nuttiness of a freshly roasted batch.

Food pairing

Serve them with a cold beer, a glass of Vinho Verde or a gin and tonic. Crush a handful over a salad, rice or grilled chicken for extra crunch.

About Alcagoita

Alcagoita is the old Algarve word for peanut. Peanuts have long been grown in the sandy soils around Rogil, near Aljezur on the Algarve's west coast, where a peanut festival is held every autumn.
