Vieira de Sousa
Vieira de Sousa Vintage Port 2015
Pickup currently not available
Vieira de Sousa Vintage Port 2015 is a Portuguese Vintage Port from a single Douro estate, Quinta da Água Alta, made by a family that has grown Port grapes for five generations. It is a dense, powerful Port to open on a big occasion or to lay down for years.
Tasting notes
Opaque and deeply coloured. The nose shows fresh dark fruit, and the palate is full bodied with rich tannins and a robust, long finish. At 20% alcohol and 103 g/L of residual sugar, it is built to age.
Food pairing
Serve it with a ripe Serra da Estrela, Stilton or Roquefort, dark chocolate desserts, or simply on its own after dinner.
About Vieira de Sousa
Vieira de Sousa is a family Port house in the Cima Corgo, now led by the fifth generation, Luísa and Maria Vieira de Sousa. This Vintage comes from south facing vines over 40 years old at the top of Quinta da Água Alta, on schist, hand picked in September and aged in large casks.
