Vieira de Sousa
Vieira de Sousa Late Bottled Vintage Port 2018
Pickup currently not available
Vieira de Sousa Late Bottled Vintage Port 2018 is a red fortified wine from the Douro, made by a Port family from Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and other grapes grown on their own old vines. An LBV gives you the depth of a single year in a Port that is ready to drink now, without waiting decades.
Tasting notes
Deep, bright colour. Concentrated red and black fruit on the nose, young and lively. The palate is rich and full, with fine tannins and an acidity that keeps it fresh and balanced. LBV comes from one harvest, here 2018, and spends four to six years in wood or vat before bottling.
Food pairing
Try it with dark chocolate cake, a cheese board with Serra da Estrela or Stilton, figs and walnuts, or a plate of red berries.
