Vieira de Sousa
Vieira de Sousa Late Bottled Vintage Port 2012
Vieira de Sousa Late Bottled Vintage Port 2012 is a Portuguese LBV Port from the Douro, made by a family house from Touriga Nacional, Touriga Francesa and Tinta Roriz grown on old vines. It is a rich, ready to drink Port that gives you much of the pleasure of a Vintage, with no need to decant or wait.
Tasting notes
Expect the house LBV style: a deep, bright colour, concentrated red fruit, fine tannins and plenty of volume, with fresh acidity that keeps it balanced and makes the next sip easy.
Food pairing
Serve it with a ripe Serra da Estrela or a blue cheese, dark chocolate cake, roast duck with figs, or on its own at the end of a meal.
About Vieira de Sousa
Vieira de Sousa is a family Port house in the Cima Corgo, now run by the fifth generation, Luísa and Maria Vieira de Sousa. The family farms nearly 60 hectares across five quintas, and its LBVs come from older, higher vines at Quinta da Água Alta and Quinta do Bom Dia, on schist, picked by hand in September.
