Vieira de Sousa Extra Dry White Port

€14,00

Vieira de Sousa Extra Dry is a white Port from the Douro Valley, made by a family Port house from Malvasia Fina, Rabigato, Gouveio and Verdelho. Extra Dry is the driest style of white Port, so this is the bottle for aperitifs, summer evenings and a proper Porto tónico.

Tasting notes

Straw gold in the glass, with a lively nose of orange and citrus. Some lots are aged in oak casks, which adds a little richness and complexity, balanced by fresh fruit and a clean, dry finish.

Food pairing

Pour it well chilled with salted almonds, olives and presunto, or with grilled white fish and a board of mild cheeses. For a Porto tónico, mix one part Port with two parts tonic, lots of ice and a slice of orange or a mint leaf.
