Várzea da Pedra Macerado Orange Wine

Várzea da Pedra Macerado is a Portuguese orange wine: white grapes left to macerate on their skins, giving colour, texture and grip. It is a good first orange wine if you are curious about the style, and a fun bottle for adventurous dinners.

Tasting notes

Macerated whites usually show an amber colour, aromas of dried citrus peel, apricot, herbs and tea, and a light tannic texture on the palate, with a dry, savoury finish.

Food pairing

Serve it with spicy dishes, grilled chouriço, mushroom dishes, or a strong cured cheese.
