Terrunho d'Alma Alvarinho White 1.5 L

Terrunho d'Alma Alvarinho is a Portuguese white wine made from Alvarinho, the signature grape of northern Portugal's Vinho Verde region, here in a 1.5 litre magnum. A magnum pours twelve glasses and ages more slowly than a standard bottle, which makes it the bottle to bring to a long lunch or a birthday dinner.

Tasting notes

Alvarinho from Vinho Verde is known for its aromatic lift and fresh acidity: think citrus, white peach and blossom, with a mineral, sometimes saline finish. It has more body and depth than the lighter Vinho Verde blends, which is why it stands up so well at the table.

Food pairing

Set it next to a platter of grilled fish, a seafood rice, clams à Bulhão Pato or a whole roast chicken. It also works with fresh goat's cheese and salads with herbs.
