Quinta do Olival da Murta
Serra Oca Moscatel Graúdo Orange Wine
Pickup currently not available
Serra Oca Moscatel Graúdo is a Portuguese orange wine from Óbidos, in the Lisbon wine region, made by Quinta do Olival da Murta from Moscatel Graúdo, Portugal's name for Muscat of Alexandria. Skin contact turns this famously perfumed grape into a dry, textured wine that is a joy at the table.
Tasting notes
Expect the classic Muscat aromas of orange blossom, honey and grape, framed by a light grip from the skins and a dry, persistent finish. It smells sweet and tastes dry, which is what makes skin-contact Moscatel so much fun.
Food pairing
Try it with fresh cheeses, grilled white fish, a Moroccan-style tagine or Thai green curry. It is also a lovely aperitif with salted almonds and olives.
