Revela Encruzado White

Revela Encruzado is a Portuguese white wine from the Dão, made by winemaker Mariana Salvador from Encruzado, the region's great white grape. If you like white Burgundy or textured, mineral whites, this is one of the most exciting new names in Dão to try.

Tasting notes

Wine writer Jamie Goode described the first vintage as fresh, fine and slightly chalky, very mineral and expressive, with brightness and focus. Encruzado gives a wine with real texture, citrus and a light nutty or smoky edge, and it gains depth with a few years in bottle.

Food pairing

Try it with roast chicken, bacalhau à Brás, grilled turbot or a creamy Serra da Estrela cheese. It is also lovely with mushroom risotto.

About Revela

Revela is Mariana Salvador's own project, launched with the 2021 vintage, with vineyards in Nelas, in the heart of the Dão. She is also known for her work with Textura and with the still wines of Barbeito.
