Quinta do Piloto Reserva Red

Quinta do Piloto Reserva Red is a Portuguese red wine from the Setúbal peninsula, made by Quinta do Piloto, a family estate in Palmela, south of Lisbon across the Tagus. It is a step up from everyday reds, with more depth and structure, made for a proper dinner.

Tasting notes

In Portugal, Reserva on a label means a selected wine of higher quality, often with more time in barrel or bottle. Setúbal peninsula reds grow in warm, sandy soils and tend to show ripe dark fruit and soft spice. Expect a round, generous red with a smooth finish.

Food pairing

Open it with grilled picanha, roast pork from the Alentejo, a beef stew, or aged cheese.

Quinta do Piloto is a family estate in Palmela, on the Setúbal peninsula south of Lisbon, known for its Moscatel de Setúbal and for reds from the sandy soils of the region.
