Quinta de São Francisco White

Quinta de São Francisco White is a DOC Óbidos white wine from Companhia Agrícola do Sanguinhal, grown in the Lisboa wine region north of the capital. Crisp, fresh and easy to like, it is a Portuguese white for the table, made by a family company with deep roots in the region.

Tasting notes

The estate grows white grapes such as Arinto, Alvarinho and Fernão Pires. Óbidos whites benefit from Atlantic breezes, so expect citrus, green apple and white flowers with lively acidity and a clean finish.

Food pairing

Serve it with grilled sardines, clams à Bulhão Pato, a fish soup, a salad with fresh cheese or simple fried fish.

Quinta de São Francisco belongs to Companhia Agrícola do Sanguinhal and sits at Outeiro da Cabeça, at the foot of the Serra de Montejunto. Its vineyards grow on steep clay-loam slopes facing east and south, and all the company’s wines are made and bottled there.
