Quinta da Murta
Quinta da Murta Rosé Sparkling
Quinta da Murta Rosé Sparkling is a Portuguese sparkling rosé from the Lisbon region, made in Bucelas from Touriga Nacional by the classic method, with the second fermentation in bottle. It is a pink fizz with real substance, for birthdays, aperitifs or any evening that deserves bubbles.
Tasting notes
The estate describes it as fresh, fruity and intense, with a pink colour. The wine rests at least a year and a half on its lees before disgorgement, which gives finer bubbles and a touch of toast behind the red berry fruit.
Food pairing
Open it with a seafood platter, prawns, salmon tartare, fried peixinhos da horta or a strawberry tart. It also works with leitão.
About Quinta da Murta
Quinta da Murta is a wine estate in Bucelas, a small appellation about 25 km north of Lisbon whose whites were once shipped to England. The estate labels its wines "The Wine of Shakespeare", a nod to that old English fame.
