Quinta da Comenda de Ansemil Reserva Dona Branca

€19,00

Quinta da Comenda de Ansemil Reserva Dona Branca is a Portuguese wine bottled as a Reserva under the name of Dona Branca, an old native white grape of northern Portugal. It is a bottle for curious drinkers who like the grapes you rarely see on a wine list.

Tasting notes

Dona Branca is a traditional white variety found in the old mixed vineyards of the Douro, Trás-os-Montes and the Dão. It is usually described as giving gentle whites, with aromas of white fruit and flowers, a round texture and moderate acidity. As a Reserva, expect a little more depth than an everyday white. Ask us at the bar and we will tell you how the current bottle is drinking.

Food pairing

Pour it with grilled sea bream, bacalhau à Brás, roast chicken with lemon, or a plate of Serra da Estrela cheese and cured ham.

About Quinta da Comenda de Ansemil

Quinta da Comenda de Ansemil is a Portuguese estate whose wines sit well off the usual trail. Little has been written about it yet, and that is part of the charm: this is the kind of bottle we like to open and talk about with you in Graça.
