Miguel Louro
Primeiro Nome Reserva White
Pickup currently not available
Primeiro Nome Reserva White is a Portuguese white wine from the Alentejo, made by Miguel Louro from vineyards near Estremoz. It shows the fresher, more textured side of Alentejo white wine, a good bottle to change your mind about whites from the south.
Tasting notes
Expect a dry, structured white with citrus and orchard fruit and a crisp line of acidity. The Estremoz area sits higher than most of the Alentejo, and its nights are cooler, which keeps whites lively. Reserva on a Portuguese label means a selected wine, usually with more depth than the standard bottling.
Food pairing
Serve it with grilled sea bream, prawns with garlic, pork with clams (carne de porco à alentejana) or a soft Serpa or Évora cheese.
