Tasting notes

Seven years in wood give Carcavelos notes of toasted almond, dried apricot, orange peel and light caramel. The style is usually off-dry to medium sweet, with a saline finish that many link to the Atlantic winds of the coast.

Food pairing

Serve it with salted almonds, aged cheese, an egg-yolk sweet such as toucinho do céu, or after coffee.
