Pombo Bravo Reserva Red

Pombo Bravo Reserva Red is a Portuguese red wine made from Tinta Roriz, the Portuguese name for Tempranillo and one of the country's most planted red grapes. Smooth, generous and easy to like, it is a great value red for a family dinner or a weekend barbecue.

Tasting notes

Tinta Roriz gives wines with ripe red and black fruit, plum and cherry, a hint of spice and fine, supple tannins. As a Reserva it has a little more structure and depth, with a round, warm finish.

Food pairing

Open it with grilled pork secretos, a beef steak, roast lamb, feijoada or a plate of aged Portuguese cheeses.

About Tinta Roriz

The same grape is called Aragonez in the Alentejo and Tempranillo in Spain. In Portugal it is a pillar of Douro and Dão blends, and on its own it makes rich, approachable reds.

• Serve at 16-18 °C. Keeps 3 to 4 days once opened, cork in, in a cool place.
