Ninfa
Ninfa Classic Method Sparkling
Pickup currently not available
Ninfa Espumante Método Clássico is a Portuguese sparkling wine from the Tejo region, north-east of Lisbon, made by the classic method, the same technique used in Champagne. It is a bottle for celebrations that do not need a French label: fine bubbles, freshness and a little more depth than a tank-made sparkling.
Tasting notes
In the classic method, the second fermentation happens in the bottle and the wine rests on its lees before disgorgement. That process usually brings fine, persistent bubbles and notes of brioche and toast alongside citrus and green apple.
Food pairing
Open it with oysters, a seafood platter, rissóis de camarão, fried pastéis de bacalhau or a wedge of mature cheese. It is also a good match for leitão, the roast suckling pig.
