Menin Reserva Red is a Douro red wine from Menin Douro Estates, blended from the valley’s traditional red grapes. It is a generous, modern Douro red with the ripeness and structure the region is known for. Open it with a good steak and take your time.
Tasting notes
Douro red Reservas usually show black fruit, plum, a hint of rockrose and spice, well-integrated oak and firm but ripe tannins. Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca are the region’s backbone grapes.
Food pairing
Pour it with a grilled T-bone, posta mirandesa, roast lamb with rosemary, or alheira with fried egg.
About Menin Douro Estates
Menin Douro Estates farms about 55 hectares in the Douro, ten of them old vineyards, around Quinta da Costa de Cima. Its winery works by gravity, and in 2021 it took over the Horta Osório wines.
