Maçanita
Maçanita-Faria Rosé dos Vilões
Pickup currently not available
Maçanita-Faria Rosé dos Vilões is a Portuguese rosé wine from Porto Santo, the small sandy island next to Madeira, made by the Maçanita winemaking team. Island wines like this are made in tiny quantities, so it is a rare bottle to find outside the archipelago.
Tasting notes
Porto Santo vineyards grow in sand and limestone, in a dry, windy and very Atlantic climate. Rosés from such places tend to be pale, dry and saline, with red fruit, citrus and a fresh, mouth-watering finish.
Food pairing
Pour it with grilled limpets (lapas), tuna steak, espetada, shrimp with garlic or a summer salad with fresh cheese.
