M&M Gold Edition Baga Brut Nature Sparkling

M&M Gold Edition Baga Brut Nature is a Portuguese sparkling wine from Bairrada, made by Cave Central da Bairrada in Anadia from Baga, the region's own red grape. Brut Nature means no sugar is added at bottling, so you get a very dry, precise fizz that works at the table as well as for a toast.

Tasting notes

Baga from Bairrada is known for high natural acidity and fine structure, which is why the region uses it so much for sparkling wine. In a Brut Nature style that freshness comes through clearly: expect a dry, taut palate with red fruit and citrus hints, fine bubbles and a clean, mineral finish.

Food pairing

It is the natural partner of leitão à Bairrada, cutting through the crisp, rich pork. Try it too with oysters, grilled prawns, sushi, or a plate of presunto and cured cheese.

About Cave Central da Bairrada

M&M sparkling wines are made by Cave Central da Bairrada in Anadia, a house founded in 1924 by José Ferreira Tavares to make sparkling wine. Since 1977 it has belonged to Américo Matos and his family, who have added table wines, spirits and liqueurs to the range.
