Luís Seabra Vinhos
Luís Seabra Xisto Ilimitado White
Luís Seabra Xisto Ilimitado White is a Portuguese white wine from the Douro, made by Luís Seabra mainly from Rabigato with Gouveio, Códega and Viosinho. "Unlimited schist" says it all: this is a fresh, stony Douro white that shows how elegant the region can be beyond Port.
Tasting notes
The nose brings stone and orchard fruit, flint, wet stone and white pepper. On the palate it is bright and mineral, with lemon, green apple and pear, a floral touch and a slate edge that carries the finish.
Food pairing
Pair it with grilled sea bream, octopus salad, clams with coriander, goat's cheese or a simple plate of oysters.
About Luís Seabra
Luís Seabra has spent close to two decades among the independent winemakers reviving old Portuguese vineyards, with a focus on old vines, soil and minimal intervention. The New York Times wine critic Eric Asimov has called his wines some of Portugal's most compelling, white and red.
