Horácio Simões
Horácio Simões Moscatel de Setúbal
Pickup currently not available
Horácio Simões Moscatel de Setúbal is a sweet Portuguese fortified wine from the Setúbal Peninsula, just south of Lisbon across the Tagus, made from the Moscatel grape by a family house founded in 1910. It is the region's signature wine, and this is the everyday bottle: honest, aromatic and easy to love.
Tasting notes
Aromas of Muscat grape, flowers, spice, raisins and walnuts, then a balanced, harmonious palate with clear regional character. The sweetness is generous but stays fresh.
Food pairing
Serve it chilled with desserts such as pastéis de nata, arroz doce or an orange cake, with queijo de Azeitão, or as an aperitif with ice and a slice of orange, the way many locals enjoy it.
